WiredGuy 10-04-2005 07:59 PM

We just built a new facility to house a new project launching later this year with nearly 60,000 products in a rather unsaturated online market.

GTS Mark 10-04-2005 08:03 PM

I'll be in this biz until the money runs dry :)

we're going the opposite direction.. =)

mind if i ask what prompted the switch, from all of you who said you did?

BlackCrayon 10-04-2005 08:08 PM

the thing i don't get about mainstream is there doesn't seem to be kind of networking like in adult. for example link exchanges and traffic trades. how do you get the traffic? of course you're not going to just tell me but its what i wonder. se's will give you only so much without plenty o' backlinks.

khs 10-04-2005 08:16 PM

porn is so much easier to make a sale, why bother?

Sosa 10-04-2005 09:05 PM

Depends on what you consider mainstreme.

I went from Upper Mainstream to ADULT, and I couldn't be happier!!! :thumbsup

My former hitch was Senior Logistics Engineer in the Aerospace industry. And NO that isn't a joke.

Lace 10-04-2005 09:54 PM

did a little "mainstream" i guess you could call it, before i got into adult.

adult is more beneficial to say the least

r-c-e 10-04-2005 10:36 PM

PayPal did the transition well.

spunkmaster 10-04-2005 10:37 PM

"My former hitch was Senior Logistics Engineer in the Aerospace industry. And NO that isn't a joke."

So you were a Supply Sgt in the Air Force ?

What's "upper mainstream"? Is there a lower mainstream? Is there an upper adult? lower adult?

"Upper Mainstream" in the DFW area that means over $200K annual. I took a paycut going to adult, but that will be made up in less than 6-months. :)

I'm dabbling in mainstream right now for the first time. I've been neck deep in research for the past 2 weeks. There are interesting opportunities to say the least.

and there are just as many ways to get traffic in mainstream as there are in adult - and variations of similar business models like link exchanges and traffic trades.

Just like adult, it comes down to networking and figuring out your "niche".

:2 cents:

J$tyle$ 10-04-2005 11:28 PM

Scratch that!

There's NO MONEY IN MAINSTREAM!

Move along ... nothing to see here!

:winkwink:

datatank 10-04-2005 11:39 PM

Nah waste of time.. Porn 4 life YO

emthree 10-04-2005 11:57 PM

I'm inbetween as of now.
It's a bit of a headache, because you want to mix adult with mainstream at times

xfalmp 10-05-2005 12:12 AM

I'm currently trying my chances on mainstream, but I don't pretend to leave adult... it's just diversification. :winkwink:

phonesex 10-05-2005 12:44 AM

Dude there is money in mainstream. Just because you can't figure it out does not mean it doesn't exist.

Hustlin Entertainment 10-05-2005 12:57 AM

hmm okkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

reynold 10-05-2005 01:55 AM

I will stay in this biz dude. There are more money here than in mainstream.

Mr. Soul 10-05-2005 01:58 AM

I think Mike from Silvercash owns directnic.com, now that's a serious mainstream business.

Pornopat 10-05-2005 03:19 AM

I think moneybookers is making the transition.

reed_4 10-05-2005 04:20 AM

I think you shouldn't have left this porn and engage in both biz.
