Why are they let out? They have a problem and shouldnt be let out until it is fixed. If they cant fix it then they stay in jail.

Not sure where you live but we lock them up for life here. MN has a special hospital/prison where we try to rehab them. Not one has ever been rehabbed(as of last year). Works pretty well as we try to help them.

There is one massive broad spectrum of em - they range for genuinely mentally deficent to the other evil end of the spectrum. And, there is little doubt that most "sex offenders" are like the nice guy next door who never had a conviction in his life.

I am sometimes shocked on the penalty given to some criminals. Most of the times its not fit for the crime they committed.

You've gotta be more specific when you say 'sex offender'. A person who sells porn dvds across state lines and is convicted could be labeled as a sex offender. You mean child molestor?

They can not be rehabilitated..its been proven and any pedophile/rapists will tell you that (if they can accept the fact).

There is a some fucked up island here in WA where these fucks live as a community...scary thought. I have got two that live on my street i recently found out and got an ex brother n law that just got out of prison and is a level three sex offender..he rapes old ladies or any woman at that....have had the guns loaded since he got out..sick fuck.

There was a guy who killed two sexoffenders here in WA ...he should have gone to the island and machine gunned that place at random..he would have gotten more than two.

If an 18 y/o fucks a 17 y/o are they a sex offender?

The topic says "sex offenders". Everyone who gets slapped with that label is not a child molester. If some woman wants to freak and claim you rubbed up against her in an elevator you can be put on the sex offender list. Say that happened to you... you accidentally bumped into someone and they claim you fondled them. Ready to go to jail for life?
