Some new pics of the civic I'm working on
ummmmmmmm
good luck
What kinda work are you doing to it? what do you have planned?
are you going to ring up 'pimp my ride' to fix it?
What's your project with it ? Putting a turbo or anything ?
If you are looking for aftermarket performance part, checkout http://www.mchip.ca - it's a store based at Trois-Rivières :thumbsup |
I got a hookup for that already, right now just wanna get teh body cleaned up and running for a winter beater, then if it survives the winter, maybe just a small b18 engine, nothign spectacular, it's not a race car
dude, it is a civic. Anything you do to it is not going to change that fact.
so what, I love working on cars and bikes, when I see a good deal I jsut pick it up and play around with it for a while
bumppppp
:1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

Why Is It On Blocks?
It isn't on blocks, just put them in front of the tires to make sure the car doesn't roll foward, didn't tighen the handbrake yet
Whatever floats your boat I guess. :pimp
that thing is garbage man. Down here in south FL we build real cars. B18's, 16's GSR's on boost, Type R's..etc. Even though I hate civics, I could build an 'all motor' civic to run low 13's easy.
That one you have there is gonna need some serious body work... most of it can only be patched with mud. My current project is a 2004 Mazda3 Hatchback... talk about a bad little car. :thumbsup |

It must be awsome not understanding basic highschool physics. He "accelerates" so fast at the beginning, because he is doing a second gear burnout, you tard. His wheels are doing 100, but his car is probably moving at about 5 :1orglaugh It's obvious he's doing the quarter mile. Also take into account the speedo is in Kilometers per hour. He's clearly using some big slicks, that he heated up during the burnout. The slicks are what explain the rediculous acceleration from 0-100 km/h. On street tires, it'd spin through the first four gears, I bet. To accelerate like that in a civic, he's got 450+ hp. More than do-able on a stock-sleeved B series motor. The best part about this video, is none of the v8 guys can accept that it's a real video of a honda going fast. Look at the comments section. They're all calling BS on it, saying there's no way it could accelerate from 0-100km/h that fast (at the beginning), which clearly shows not many car guys understand the basic concept of burnout physics. NEXT. |

800whp EG civic running 10.09 with nothing but traction problems
Asuna, you'd better have something in mind for what you're going to do about axles making that much power :winkwink: Edit: You'll notice the trapspeed is 145 mph, quite high for 10 seconds. This can be explained through his traction issues. The car has enough top end to pull to 145, which easily makes the car 9 second capable once he gets the tires to hookup. |
Hey man, forget the haters, build the car and enjoy it. Good cheap transportation makes up for the gas prices. Good luck.
Around here in an effort to win street car nights the civic guys rip everything out of the car, ie everything; so they have two seats and no interior to save 10lb, they then drive this car as a daily driver, it's so sad.
That said with like 20k they are super fast, but i've never lost to one in my blown 780rwhp camaro. |
Nice camaro. Pics?
Yeah the guys with the imports would do themselves a lot of good if they worried less about shitty body kits and more about performance. |
Hey man, that's cool. It's good to have a hobby and keep your mind busy.
mmm ricey
You haven't done anything to it.
It's stock and missing a heap of panels. Kudos to you for working on a car - but those pics are just boring man. Make some performance mods then repost it |
hmmm goodluck!
Damn I would get a letter from my neighborhood association the next day if I had that thing sitting in my driveway.
Post some pics when you're done it looks like a fun project. |
Good thing we don't have an association like that over here, plus 90% of the time it's in the garage, tonight worked till jsut about 2am putting the finishing bondo on it
dude, cool car
