what are your thoughts on this.
do surfers tend to click more links on the left side of a page, or the right side of a page?

Surfers 'view' in an F pattern, I read this awhile ago on a usability website.

if that's what i think, it would be the top two rows & the left side. Is that right?

I have ads on both sides, covering all my ground I think the GAW chart is the best tool to use for placing any type of links.

In mainstream its all about presentation, in porn you have a little more leeway but I still focus on presentation, you would be surprised how a move of an ad an inch up or to the left will increase its CTR.

Yes that would be a good formula, of course you must factor in visual representations like images, colors, decorations etc. Generally the rule is the farther to the right and down you go the worse CTR
