Karma?
Many people believe that both good and bad karma can return to you at any time, even after this lifetime. What do you think?
I say HELL YEAH! Always watch what you put out....lol :winkwink: |
I've always played fair, been nice (I thought), worked hard, etc. and then had the shittiest thing possible happen to me. I don't know if I believe in Karma or not.
|
yes tony and i totally agree with that.

good and bad karma is simply good and bad "happenings"... much like energy... good and bad will always balance itself out.
karma is nothing more than a "hope" that something bad will happen to someone who does something bad, and that something good will happen to someone who does something good. If you want to believe in "good and bad"... then you should believe in good happening from something bad, and something bad happening from something good. Balance. |
Karma seems to be in line with 'fair play'.
If you do all the right things, then it should work out for you. UH UH - Doesn't necessarily work that way from my experience. It's a nice concept, but I don't subscribe to it too much myself - though that doesn't stop me from trying to be a good person and treating others well. Karma may not work but if you're nice to others then they're more likely to be nice back, and at least you don't have to look at yourself in the mirror at night and say .. 'well, you were a total bitch today!' :2 cents: |

Hindus believe that the soul is immortal and is reborn in a new body after a person dies. Thus, you have an endless series of lives to work on your karma. In each life, you should strive to do good works and evolve spiritually so your next life will be better than this one.
God I hope this isn't true!!!!!!! I'm already tired and REFUSE to go back to highschool! ROFL!!!!!! |
Don't believe in it at all.
|
I'm good to people because I'm good, and not because I expect to get anything back in return.
Karma, well if it comes right down to it though. I've got Karma to burn. My goodness comes back to me everyday, anyone that's worked with me can vouch for this fact. However, you see douchebags like Bill Gates who was selfish and arrogant make their way to the top too. He go so far ahead that he didn't have to rely on anyone he could then buy loyalty. Whatever your philosophy is, make it work for you. Be a jerk and do it well, you'll succeed. Be a good person and do it well, you'll succeed. They say you attract more flies with honey than you do with vinegar, that's the way I roll. |
I believe in KARMA!!
I always believe what you put out is what you get back. Some people never learn this lesson, I won't mention names, but ya they never learn and I get a front row seat watching it come back and slap them in the face. Told ya so! |
well the thing with karma is, what youve done wrong is never connected to the slap in the face. so here's my theory. your actions reflect your thoughts. if you are a generally nice person than generally nice stuff'll happen to ya. however, even if you do 110% your best all the time, in the bible first page in capitals is written SHIT HAPPENS. the other way around is also true; someone thats always an asshole can do something nice everyonce in a while and itll go unnoticed. as for the things you dont control, well theres a saying (or may be i just invented it im not sure) that goes like this : what should happen, will happen. that means that if you pick your battles, you can get away with anything, including murder! ;)

ill scratch your back if you scratch mine. its good karma people. you do good things and good things are done for you. of course not all people return the favor but it certainly raises your chances of something good happening if you do good things more often.

The Law of Karma
In Buddhist teaching, the law of karma, says only this: `for every event that occurs, there will follow another event whose existence was caused by the first, and this second event will be pleasant or unpleasant according as its cause was skillful or unskillful.' A skillful event is one that is not accompanied by craving, resistance or delusions; an unskillful event is one that is accompanied by any one of those things. (Events are not skillful in themselves, but are so called only in virtue of the mental events that occur with them.) Therefore, the law of Karma teaches that responsibility for unskillful actions is born by the person who commits them. |
I believe that positive energy attracts positive energy, and negative attracts negative. But I don't think we can only look at one lifetime to see if karma exists or not. I think we work through multiple lifetimes, until we learn the lessons we need to. Once higher consciousness is gained, then comes heaven/nirvana/whatever you wish to call it.

Fuck Karma....... and her sister too :thumbsup
Actually, Karma is a state of mind. If you do good things, then when good things happen to you, you believe it to be good karma. Same is true if your a scum bag rapsit, think about it, you could find yourself saying something like this "Shit!, maybe I shouldn't have raped that hot little bitch last night at the bar while I was drunk out of my fucking mind, cuz look at me now, locked up at rikers with a big black dude shoving his cock up my ass!" Now thts Karma! :thumbsup |
I don't know. It's really hard to say.
I've seen some awful things happen to really good people. |
well I believe in karma and how it can be faster than FedEx.
