GFYers and Education

How many GFYers are college educated or have an advanced degree as in a masters, PhD etc?

I have a 4 year degree and I'm curious as to know how many have circumvented traditional education for the school of hard knocks or have also done the 4 year degree thing.

B.S. (Ivy Leg) + 1.5 yrs @ Berkeley (premed, neurosci program).

Dropped out. To much of a commitment when so much money is staring you in the face.

Most college degrees are worthless. I'd say that about mine. But college was a great experience. The only downside of college is that it hindered my ability to get working full-time.

Bachelor of Science in Electronics....

If I went back to school for a couple of semesters I'd have an economics degree...but I prefer working from home, doing my own thing so it's not worth it for a piece of paper.

I would say that the main benefit of the college experience is some of the independant study skills that I learned. It taught me to be a more curious person and seek out knowledge on my own. That's about the only skill from college that I use to this day (plus some marketing crap that I'd probably figure out on my own anyway)

i have a bachelor of science in psychology with a minor in genetics...i was thinking of being a genetic counselor when i saw how much bad news you have to deliver to people - it was just as bad as being a nurse. (i also had 2 years of education to become an LPN and stopped working in the ICU because it was hard on the heart when i left work in the middle of the nights.)

outside of the fact that i can apply my psychological knowledge in every aspect of life (gotta be careful just how much sometimes!) i don't think that my specific degree has done much else for me, besides give me a massive debt. :winkwink:
