what if the pictures on our pages are free content from sponsors

do we need to own the rights to the images

If we use this and use it with pictures that arent OWNED by us are we liable to be sued by the content owners or would that fall on the distributors

Frank we do have premium sms in the usa, but the rules are very strict.

Basically ANYTHING stronger than bikini content is not allowed. So for this reason all images need to be identified as "Adult" or "Non Adult" by a field in the link. If someone in the usa requests an "Adult" image, they will only be able to pay for it by credit card.
Hopefully things are going to relax a little next year as the networks' realise how much potential income they're missing out on.

Good question. If you don't own the images, you need to make sure your license covers you for distribution to mobile devices.....or yes you (not the distributors) are liable to be sued.......by both the content owner and the distrubutor, so it's important to make sure the licenses you have are the correct ones :)

Depends on what country you're in as to how to process folds out.
If you're outside of the USA, you should get a message presently with the link to grab the image. If you're in the USA, and it's an adult picture (which it is) you'll be shown instructions on how to get it :)

I guess the concept of getting content from pc to cellphone is pretty much the same as those two.

Thats about where the similarity ends tho.

Firstly mediaplazza: i'm pretty sure (correct me if I'm wrong) that they don't want to get involved with adult any more.

Secondly Mpush, first thing that would worry me about them as a webmaster is that they offer adult content to the USA via premium SMS.
The US networks don't allow premium sms to be used to bill for adult content.
One of the reasons for this is because there is no age verification.

This is why they could pull your shortcode if you use it to bill for adult content. (Not to mention outstanding revenue)

Its worth bearing in mind that if you don't have a US shortcode you can't deliver content to the US period.......be it adult or not.

We are geared up toward the adult market and we understand it.
The adult internet business is largely built around the affiliate model so it made sense to have affiliate tracking built in to MobilePainter, .
We can get content from protected members' areas without compromising security. We are tuned in to the Adult industry and are part of it.

So to answer your question i would say that our product may be similar, but our service is very different :)

Cool, I used that. After that I used my cel browser and I got the following error:

I tried 3 times already with no luck.

T-Mobile user over here. Motorola V600.

Sounds like your WAP settings might not be 100% on your phone.
I'd say if you check those, and then tried, that'd be the trick!

I am not very fimiliar with mobile stuff, but have a question.

There is this russian service, I think similar to yours it's

For each pic you upload you get individual code, then you just download it to your pc.

I am not sure how this service is same or different (except ofcourse it's free and content may be anything,) so was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this.

Quantum, I do get a message confirming the payment but I do not receive the pic, only an url which I should visit if I don't get the order.

Yep that is how its delivered. The URL in the SMS should be an active link. i.e if you navigate down to the link, your phone should give you the option to "goto" the URL. Once you've done that, the image should d/load to your handset and you should have the option to save it.

That's right, you should change the message then.

It says now:

"Payment received. Access [url] if you do not receive your order"

The message indicates that the order is delivered in a different way, see what I'm getting at?

Oh and btw I know the cc process is a test but first it says $1.99 to order and on the cc info form it says $2.99, just a heads up.
