Oh What The Fuck!!

Ok, I need some help. My PC is giving me some fucking stress. I can't save images(gif, jpg) - everytime I try, I only get to save them as fucking bitmap files. Well, this becomes a problem when I want to save banners/FPA's and now when I want to grab some recip buttons for some new sites I'd like to submit to. If I can't download a zip file, I have to save the entire webpage to my hard drive (where I can then get the correct files - no bitmaps there). I'm using MSIE browser, and I am running MS W2000 operating system. Can anyone help me out here? I have looked thru "Tools" and other places, but I can't find where to edit any file saving rules. Any help would be appreciatted. Thanks.

close your browser, shut down your internet connection, and wait a few moments. Then resign on, and open a browser. That will fix it temporarily. That happened to me once, and that's how I fixed it.

Worst case...
You could always screen cap images into Photo Shop

Its a Microsoft issue, here is the official MS workaround

I have this problem sometimes too, when I try to save images in explorer's or aol's browser..but I can always save images with netscape. Try saving them in netscape! :thumbsup

clear your temporary internet files and all offline content, then restart your browser.

try emptying your browser cache :)

COOL!

I just deleted my Temporary files, and then I increased the space alloted to the temp files. Now it works. Thanks for the tips, all!

Helix, nice to see that it was a MS problem. I was wondering what the heck I had done to my settings LOL

Now I just have to figure out the rest of my problems with IE.

:)

Those Temporary Internet Files filling up will cause your system to crash also, when running WinAmp. IE blows.

Use Opera
http://www.opera.com

Or.. just keep clearing that TIF often.

Defragment your drive once a month also, this solves slow performance issues and if you don't defragment eventually your OS will die.
