I heard this morning fox news that Alberto Gonzales may be Bush's candidate to fill the supreme court vacancy. Say it ain't so!

It will either be him or from what I understand Bush is under pressure to fill that seat with a minority or female... Yes it could put a hurting o the industry.

Hmmm, Alberto Gonzales doesn't exactly sound like an Anglo-Saxon name, wouldn't that make him a minority member?

Gonzalez now resides in DC... whites are the minority in DC

Gonzalez lives in the Americas... whites are a minority in the Americas

So why not just say "non-white" instead of "minority?" It's much more accurate :thumbsup

Agreed and if you look at those hearings that was held for Roberts the democrats decided to let Roberts be confirmed so that they could have the upper hand in the next pick.

doesn't amtter, the sc is not going to allow a new judge to come in their throwing around others agendas.

and roberts is a great judge for this industry he is alraeady in. he believes in privacy and being able to do what you want in the priovacy of your home

Hmmm.... we have had a lot of our freedoms compromised in the war against freedom ... err... terrorism.

We can be incarcerated without being charged. Non citizens can be held forever without any charges. Our spy agency is not really accountable to anyone for its actions. And we have secret trials, and the accused cannot see all the evidence against him. All in the name of national security.

Now it has only been arabs who have suffered under this so far, but the power is so huge, it is inevitable that it will be abused against other Canadians before too long.

One of these days, you guys outside the US will finally learn that you DO need to be concerned with what gos on in the US! In the long run it WILL damage your business, because so many countries follow what the US does. Or the US will just reach out can grab your ass, for selling porn to a US citizen in the US.

with Gonzalez in there they can not only arrest us and hold us without charges, they can torture us until we tell them where we bought the content too :(
