Where to buy photography equipment ?
( I am still looking for underwater housings for my camera's )

What are some of the things I must do or see ?

Hotel i reccomend - Hotel Amari Beach Resort ( First Class hotel )

Don't miss a walk on the Walking Streer lol lots of Thai hookers will be after you ;)
while you are there take a peak at the European Stripclub on walking streer haaa haaa some stunning blondes and brunettes ;)

You can just walk to the beach and you can do anything you want....from massages to jet ski's....and scuba diving for really cheap :)

I am not sure about the photography equipment :(

Night activities: Walking Street, beer bars on any Soi, Lucifers Disco & Marine Disco. Just hit Walking Street at night and once it all closes, just ask any whore where to go.

Day activities: Snorkeling, jet skies, rent a boat, islands. Just hit the beach in the day and you will find all of that there. You will also find Dive Shops on the smaller side streets. Though for beach and diving, head to southern Thailand for the best that area has to offer. Nothing special in Pattaya for those.

Equipment: You will be better of getting that BEFORE you go there. You will not find it in Pattaya. Bangkok is your best bet, try World Trade Center (Zen shopping mall), they have a few stores in there but I'm sure it would have to be ordered.

Stop at Pantip plaza in Bangkok on Petchburi Road Soi 15. They will have all the photo equipment you will need. Also, in Pattaya is a new complex call Tuk Com on Pattaya Tai...they have tons of equipment too.

Don't spend all your time in Pattaya.

* If you dive you MUST go to the Similian (spelling?) Islands. Simply amazing.
* Visit the hill tribes in the north.
* Great rafting in the north.
* Island hop in the south. Rent a sail boat for the weekend.
* Visit temples just about anywhere in Thailand, but Pattaya's are kind of weak.
* Jump over to Siem Reap for 2 or 3 days to see Ankor Wat. Wow. :thumbsup
* Don't catch anything that a shot in the ass can't cure. ;-)
* Riding an elephant is not that cool. Worth skipping I think.
* Visit the snake farm or the tiger zoo in BKK.
* Jack off on a waterbug and have some whore eat it.

Night activities wont be hard to fill in, I've spend my time in Hotel: Jomtien Garden. Might not be one of the most exclusive hotels in Pattaya but it's about 10 steps from the beach, pool & tennis courts. Within 10/15 minutes you have all the night activities, go go bars, clubs, discos, night market & some massive shopping centres. They have an inhouse restaurant and one near the beach (open).

Personally I thought Pattaya was a hell hole. There are an absurd amount of hookers there, to the point that it's tough to walk down the street. (I suppose that could be viewed as good or bad, but even if you want hookers, you don't need 50k of them :) )

In the south, yeah, check out the islands man... I liked Phuket also, but I'm not sure whats left of it since the tsunami.

If you can get up north, Chaing Mai is a neat town. Small, but cool history, and you can make it out to a hill tribe on a motorbike pretty quickly.

Phuket is clear again :thumbsup Chaing Mai is great too been there, pretty small but you just have to see it if you are visiting Thailand. Plus if you are going to Chaing Mai, dont forget to take an jungle trip (a real one) since Laos is pretty close. With real one I mean not a one hour elephant ride or rafting but atleast a 5 days tour to the jungle, ask for private guides. You'll be going places they dont know the time, shoot a chicken for dinner and get fresh fruits out of the trees like monkeys. The best part is that these places are tourist free, the guide told me he's taking such tours only once every 3 or 4 months. The first and the second day you'll be fuckin' around and saying you rather sleep in a hotel then on a wooden plank but the last day you wish you could stay another day. Dont take to much with you, you have it with you 24/7 and be walking at least 6 hours a day.
