They named the new 10th Planet after Xena Warrior Princess???
 

Well I guess the next planet will be named after Bart Simpson.

They named the planet Xena and the moon they just found circling the planet is named after Xena's sidekick on the show.

Amazing.

Well I guess when you discover a planet you'll get to name it whatever _you_ want.

I thought it was called Sedna.

they found Sedna, but after a few months made the conclusion that it was a "steady asteroid" more than a planet.

so they gave up on that, and found a PLANET even further away called XENA. Apparently its like 2 degrees above absolute zero.

Technically, Pluto and these other "planets" they keep discovering are actually giant asteroids called Kuiper belt objects. Some scientists want to call them "minor planets" but most want to just refer to them as asteroids. It's still under debate.

hit me up when we can actually see what other solar systems out there are like...earth is the only planet in our system capable of life, the rest are just there. i wanna see what's "out there..."
