I'm thinking of taking classes just for the hell of it. It's always looked like alot of fun. But I hear it CAN be very dangerous. It doesn't seem like it's that bad if you're protected with gear. I dunno...

Yeah I was surprised to find a local club that teaches it and does it regularly... From the pics I did find locally, the members look a little... uhm... mentally unstable. I'm not so sure about it but I'll try anything once :)

It is fun, and it can be dangerous. Plan on sending my son to learn.

I was a ranked Sabre fencer when I was 17....great sport! Start young!!!

I don't trust women with weapons

I don't like that sport...

Looks like one of those things I'd at least try once, not sure if I would do it regularly but it looks like an intensive workout too.

i fence as well but we like to call it old sword play :)
we dont use the mask's or white costumes & use sharp edged rapier's
i like to use a two handed broadsword. i've been into swords for some time.. i have quite a collection.. i'll post some pics sometime later. just woke up.. gotta take them outside for the pic.. this cheap camera only works outside, unless i use the webcam.

most of the guns & blades i collect are from the cival war era. i got confederate money too. :) lot's of old stuff.. friggen pack rat i am with all this old shit from the 1800's
