have you ever worn MOON BOOTS?
You know growing up in the 70's and 80's my happy ass wore some when I was like 12 or something. Now I live in Florida, my kids won't be subject to the torture of the moonboots.
yep, if you were born between 1970 and 1975 chances are you wore em, especially in colder climates
I'm still wearing them!

Yep - 1972... Moonboots were the shit somewhere around what... 78?
ND is where i got the inspiration for this awesome thread.
nice boots but haven't wear that :)
Moonboots were the shit. I remember begging my parents for them.. I then moved to the leg warmer era and then on to Bon jovi boots.
:1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh |
Absolutely, they were the rage !
Flippin Sweet Thread!
looks pretty cool, but unfortunately I have not tried it.
yep I thought they were the shit lol
Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes, all DAY!
Born in '69 -- I wore 'em. Had to have been late 70's or early 80's. thank god there's no photographic evidence.
Hell, I still got a pair in my ski warm up bag
I break them out for laughs... ... I think they are coming back in Japan.. Big B CECash.com |
fuck yeah, born in 75 and they were the shit.
pros - stylish, chicks loved them, wearing them gave you a sense of belonging cons - socks would always end up by the toes, when trying to run you would just end up with the liner on your feet. |
my mom punished me with them
is that funny? |
i had crazy converse all stars that went up half way to my knees
yeah, what's wrong with moon boots?
my astronaut botches wear them!
you know? |
Born in '71 and lived in central Michigan for a few years. Wore moon boots and a fuckin snow suit to wait for the bus during winter. Shit got to stinkin after a while if you didn't wash it.
Nop I think I'm a bit too young for thoses ;)
I did for sure. Growing up in Chicago it snowed like a mo fo. I'm also not ashamed of admitting to wearing parachute pants to my 6th grade homecoming dance.
can't believe they're back (kinda)

i think they are great
loved them as a kid now a mostly wear these lol http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0...CMZZZZZZZ_.jpg |
I loved thsoe as a kid .. beat the hell out of those heavy ass boots .. you felt like you could run fast as shit in those things .. and they dried in like 4 seconds when they were wet
I did......
hell yes I did! Growing up in Alaska, moon boots were a requirement. Now, if you were really hardcore you put plastic bags over the liners when they started leaking.
sure, when i was a kid
:thumbsup |
Yeah, when I was a kid... Snowjogs we called them...
yes when i was kid i wore moon boots.
You can't beat moon boots though, ultra light weight and warm. They're definately better than the big heavy clunky boots that I wear now when I snow blow the yard.
i wear them naked when i walk around my house on sunday mornings. :(
no, cant say i have.
I had the shoe version of those in the 80's. Kept my feet dry and really warm at the bus stop. Being a kid was cool.
I'll be need some soon here in Minnesota...
