whuzzup w/ this ActiveX bullshit
im trying to open up a .avi or .mpg file within a static page. my problem is, the code im using is not working for all file types.
ive got the .wav classID working but its crashing when i use the same code to open a .mpg or .avi file. anybody familiar with the mediaPlayer classID string for this? :helpme |
Never had that come up, good luck with it. I am sure someone will help ya out.

Go to a page that successfully does what you're trying to do (open the media in a page) and check view source. The Class ID should be applicable to your situation as well.

appreciate the insight peeps.
turns out that all my files need to be converted to the .wmv format - there's no way around it. got my cpu burnin up the conversions right now - the .wmv format looks like the best solution for instant viewing with these static activeX pages. |
surf with a MAC and you will be totally clear of this type of issue :thumbsup
