I rather good support / service and a birdthday card (personalised) then all kind of useless gifts... if you're gonna spend 1000 $ on something, better let me choose what I want to spend it on .

It would be nice to get a free ANNUAL DEDICATED HOSTING package from a respected host.

I dont want support and i dont want gifts. Just dont shave me and pay me on TIME.

Sometimes if the free gift is a prize related to a contest, more often it's the win of th contest than the prize itself that's valuable.

Free "gifts" are fun because birthdays and Christmas gifts just aren't as much fun as they used to be, especially when you are directly or indirectly paying for them yourself.

This is the one thing that I haven't seen yet being given out. Of course, I haven't been cruzing the boards or been involved with the industry that long either. Not saying that sponsers don't geive out Vacations, but just haven't seen any. Unless someone gave away a trip to one of the convention (interNext) things. I think something like that, giving away trips to the conventions as well as a few days before or after would be great.

I've seen most of everything else being given way, as far as loot in the short time I've been around. Not saying that the stuff isn't cool and I wouldn't mind picking up some free loot, but seems like everyone is jumping on the same bandwagon and not getting creative with they giveaways.

I'd say gift certificate, and sponsored vacations are great stuff too.

The whole gift process for sponsors is a bit stupid...
I mean if these guys are pulling 100signups a week, do they really need a psp or an xbox?

It's a good incentive, but I think the method that sponsors go about it is a bit odd.
