I went tanning today but put SPF on my tattoo n shit.... I bought it and rubbed it on. I should be OK right? I got the thing on Sun.

LOL you'll be cool!!! But they do tell ya to keep it outta the sun for a REASON!!!

I was a tattoo artist for years..... the things we tell you when you leave the shop aren't just to hear ourselves talk.... unless you're a hot chick.... which you're not. Stay outta tha fuckin sun!

even with the block i would avoid the sun for as long as possible ... i had work done 3 weeks before the show in august and I'm still putting block on it and covered it entirely until the show .... in fact i try to put block on all my tatts all summer even the ones that are 10 years old

only a closet homo would ask such a question.


grow a pair and be a fucking man already.

1) Stay out of those death ray machines.
2) Keep your tat OUT of the sun.

I use 50 block on mine and I'm still able to get a good tan. You need to protect them especially a black tribal otherwise they will fade out and your lines wont be crisp. You don't want a faded green looking tribal on your forearm in a few years.

the sun will kill your tattoo, use spf50

Juicy keep it out of the sun man, the first week or two you have a new tat you gotta be real careful, things you do could affect the color

edit: I've been hitting the tanning bed but I got my new ink covered with a towel

Nah its not that bad, for the most part my stuff isnt even exposed to the sun except my arms. Durring the summer I just put block on my arms like anyone else would with lotion.

your really risking fucking up your tat by tanning BUT if you HAVE to get a tan - use the highest spf possible then cover it with something that wont let the UV thru. like a small handcloth.

then when youre done, you can rub one out into the cloth while admiring your newly tanned tender loins.
