Best C/C++ compiler currently available?

Lets skip Visual Studio. too big and slow.

So whats left is:
Borland,
Dev C++ (G++),
Intel C++

Whats your favorite and why? Any other alternative not in the list?

I hardly ever use a windows compiler.....but if I have to.....borland is my choice

Very true.. its just that i dont like big bulky things. If you are a hardcore Windeveloper theres no other road than the VS road.. im sure of that.

but i make small tools for myself that should run under multiple platform's
so then VS is overhead.

Besides i like windows 2000 on my 1 gig machine.
