Has anyone here ever served someone a C&D?
 

I designed a logo for a local nightclub and it has since been very successful. I did not charge him for the logo design under the agreement that he gets all of his print/design work done through my company. He has not honored his deal and now prints with other companies.

I want to slap a C&D on his ass. Any suggestions?

Do you have your deal in writing?

Unless you have a contract there is nothing you can do.

Dosen't the designer own the copyrights ?

you own your copyright unless you have signed it over or created your work as a work for hire... however unless you have registered that copyright it isn't worth much... also going through the legal hassle to prove you are the original copyright holder is probably not worth the effort...
