Well I got the bulbs yesterday in mail, got the filters and this weekend will play with it. If it works will be able to show you how to have a fluorescent setup for shooting for about $150.:) Stay tuned. Im tired of sweating my balls off with my lowels.lol

p.s. color temperature is the biggest issue here. get daylight balanced bulbs.
real kino flo's have a high output ballast so there's no flicker. there is flicker with the homemade version, so your shutter speed can't be too high. try 1/60th if you can. experiment and draw your own conclusions. |

i think 400 or so, they don't put out much light at all. it can be tricky, can't get a good full length shot out of them either :)
