AMD licenses Acacia to avoid cache infringement
 

CHIP FIRM AMD has licensed a portfolio of patents from the Computer Cache Coherency Corporation, part of the Acacia Technologies group.
That, said Acacia, is the first licence and resolves a patent infringement lawsuit against AMD.

The tech relates to interface circuits used by peripheral devices to communicate with main memory.

The firm is also litigating against Intel and Via. µ
