San Fernando Valley - California - USA

The "Topanga Fire" as it is now being called started near the 118 frwy and Topanga Canyon Offramp. Powered by the "Santa Ana Winds" the fire raged through Wednesday night and burned nearly to the 101 frwy and Los Virgenes some 12 miles away from the fire's start.

Thursday, from the CECash.com offices, we could clearly see smoke in the AM. By noon it seemed like that smoke was gettin kinda close and we were scrambling to make certain that all important files and databases were replicated to offsite servers. Hardcopies of owned content were moved offsite, just in case the fire crept over the hill. So far, we're in great shape.. fire has not neared the CECash offices. <knockin on wooden desk>

Mother Nature has been kind the last 12 hours - Winds have so far laid down and onshore flow is bringing cooler temperature and higher humidity into the region. This is just what the firefighters need to continue their brilliant efforts at saving life and structures during this fire. KUDOS to all Departments that are here helping... :thumbsup

I just was outside checking things now that its light and the fire seems much more calm than yesterday from our viewpoint.
