is it ok to use screen captures for pics
 

Shooting for a new site , dont have a photographer.Im shooting it 30p , so it would make nice screen captures. Would it be ok to use them for pics?

sure, as long as quality isnt an issue.

You can get by with it but more and more TGP owners are wanting high-res only. You get a member bitching every now and then but for the most part, I have had little problems. As long as they are decent quality, you should be ok. If you can get Perfect Gonzo type screen grabs you are golden.

With that said, all new shoots from me are now getting high res pics along with the screen caps and the videos.

Thanks for the replies, I can have the canon 20d do time lapse photography. I was just hoping it would be one less thing to have to lug on the road but I guess Im lugging it lol .Would love to have you shooting for me Dean but with the small hotel rooms Im shooting in and all the lights and tripods.You would have to sit on my shoulders while Im shooting the video, I guess it would give the pics a cool perspective lol.
