He's been quarantined for a virus he might have. One they became in contact with him, the people stranded on the island might end up with the same virus. The reason no one is rescuing them is because the whole island is possibly quarantined and they know that if the plane crashed there and if the survivors are rescued then can spread the virus to the entire world. Plus, Walt has the ability to make things a reality just by envisioning it psychically. |

But it hasn't been brought up that people might know the palne has crashed and they won't rescue them. It is an assumption along with the one that scientists want to see how people would adjust to a plane crash and survive on a stranded island. |

I thought last nights episode was a bit of a letdown. I'm wondering if the details of Walts custody hearing will have more bearing in the future because they spent so much time on it. Im definitely looking forward to next week!

Ohhh, doesn't it seem like Jack recognizes Desmond but Desmond doesn't recognize Jack?

Another thing that leads me away from the typical conclusion of them being guinea pigs is that the raft had to leave asap because monsoon season was about to start and if they waited they would only be able to launch from the other side of the island. So they got way out to see just fine, at least far enough that when the raft broke apart they wouldnt have ended back up on the island. But mysteriously thats exactly where they washed ashore, like the island drew them back in.

4 8 15 16 23 42 = 108, you see 108 painted on the walls of the bunker as well as the clock thing reset to 108 after the numbers were entered into the computer. I am sure there is more going on with those numbers as well... |

;) http://www.lost-media.com/ is a great "Lost" site with forums, discussions, screencaps, etc... This show is deep...way deep. Like how about this: "The Numbers" (4 8 15 16 23 42) when added up equal 108, the same number on the "clock" that was reset and counting down. And even more interesting, communication satellites take an average of 108 minutes to orbit the earth....Is it Desmunds responsibilty to "execute" The Numbers up to a communications satellite every 108 minutes in order to prevent something bad from happening?.... Cool show when you pay attention to all the little things going on... J. |
