Santa Ana conditions. Orange County. Heat wave in SoCal (pics).

Santa Ana conditions in LA this morning. This is the reason for the fires. The wind blows in from the desserts, makes things hot and dry.

The basins in LA and Orange County are filled this morning. The temps are going to be hot today, my text message (cingular) said 95..haha...

Oh boo-hoo, it's always hot and dry here in Tucson. I wish it would finally cool down, but we've had 100 degree days steady still. Ugh.

BradM 09-29-2005 10:15 AM

Man i dunno why we never met up when I was there. I lived 15 mins from spectrum

imageman 09-29-2005 10:30 AM

Thats why i like San Diego

No smog and spectacular sunsets

Furious_Male 09-29-2005 10:32 AM

Fuck that smog. I am happy where I live thats for sure.

Of course it does get cold as hell here but its just a matter of taking up winter sports.

I know. I am in Phoenix and I am just so over the heat this year. They showed snow on Pikes Peak this morning on the news and I think I felt a tear slide down my cheek.

Nice.. at the airport. Main/Macarthur

EroticySteve 09-29-2005 10:42 AM

San Diego was the best. The west coast of Fl is nice for sunsets and it's relatively clean down here with the ocean on 3 sides.

Kimmykim 09-29-2005 10:45 AM

Ick, it's like an oven up here by the beach. Totally unexpected since it was nearly cold last weekend. Guess I'd best start checking the boat for condensation every night to see what the weather will be like.

We move to CO next weekend, I will welcome the colder weather. : )

ArkansasDave 09-29-2005 10:53 AM

Yes indeedee, its fall in So Cal and the Santa Ana's are here again and there blowing in the heat from the hot deserts they came from.
They sure make for some really cool ocean sunsets. :thumbsup

Morgan 09-29-2005 10:57 AM

not sure when those pics were taken, but if they were taken yesterday, some of that smog is probably smoke.

SetTheWorldonFire 09-29-2005 11:04 AM

Might be the fires in Chatsworth

I watched the flames last night. I could see them from where I live.

Just_Dave 09-29-2005 11:27 AM

i hate this weather we are haiving here

Ecksent 09-29-2005 11:28 AM

Cry me a river! I'll trade ya for the shitty rain we have up here in Vancouver! I'm such a summer kinda guy. Plus the chicks dress less. Glad my ass is heading to Florida in a week.

Naia 09-29-2005 11:34 AM

Hey Santa Ana folks -- just hit splash mountain over and over until it doesn't feel hot anymore! That's what I'd do... with plenty of margaritas in the middle, for further numbing. Maybe a little Grizzly River Rapids to change things up a bit too.

(I miss living close to Disneyland)

Downtime 09-29-2005 11:41 AM

It looks like that building is the Initech buiding from "Office Space" haha. I'd rather be in the heat than in fuckin chicagoland. Too cold here.

Cory the really strange thing about this area, is that I am only 20 or so miles south of San Diego, and it only hit about 74 here yesterday.

The differing weather around different parts of Southern California is really amazing. I live 20-25 minutes inland from the beach and my place gets hot in the summer and cold in the winter. My friends that live only a few miles inland from the beach have the same temperature year round, almost perfect. Nice and warm with an easy cool breeze.

Now if I go another few minutes east, its practically a sauna.
