To answer the question, even with the low parity between dollar and other currencies, I don't see any trillionaires (in dollars, of course) happening any time soon, unless either something really wrong went on with the world order, or the dollar sunk to the value of a Mexican peso or something.

The only trillionaires are the middle east royal families that are sitting on the oil fields. Technically, though the oil belongs to the state, most of those families, act as if they are the state and its their wealth to do whatever they please.

There are only 3 families that would make it into the elite Trillion $ Club.

Saud Family Saudi Arabia 261.7 Billion Barrels = $17 Trillion

Sabah Family Kuwait 96.5 Billion Barrels = $6 Trillion

Al-Thani Family Qatar 16 Billion Barrels = $1 Trillion

You forgot The Bush Family. King Geroge II would have at least a networth of the gross US domestic product. That is currently over 12 Trillion Dollars.

Basically, because they are behind anything and everything that is related to money. They are already worth several hundred billion dollars.

This thread is about the first trillionaire, not how many people you can group together to make up $1 trillion.

Also, in 2002, Forbes Magazine reported that the 10 wealthiest members of the Rothschild family dynasty had a combined net worth of $1.5 billion. source Is Forbes wrong? or has their net worth grown by like 10,000% in the last 3 years? or are you just making unqualified assumptions?
