Blog scripts. Which one can...?
I'm looking for a blog script or add-on to one (free or paid) that can create sub-directories for categories and articles, instead of using querystrings.
Something that can create http://www.domain.com/category-name/article-title/ instead of http://www.domain.com/index.php?category=2&article=23 Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks. |
Wordpress. It will let you specify what exactly you want, create and even update your .htaccess file.

http://wordpress.org will do that and everything else you need - look for permalinks in the admin panel :)
|
Thanks guys, didn't realize WordPress could do that. All blogs I've seen using it were querystring-based.

My suggestion is learn how to use mod rewrite :thumbsup

YARGH! As everyone said, Wordpress permalinks. They can be customised a bit too. Check the admin section, or wordpress' website for the different vars.
I do title, and post ID usually. http://www.sharkyfarts.com uses wordpress, and permalinks. |
