I'm thinking of changing up the theme to this Players Ball in Vegas - Ideas?
 

Usually every Players Ball we do it Pimp & Ho style.

We have changed it up in the past, we did Old School & Pajama party.

I'm perfectly happy keeping this one Pimp and Ho, but if theres a nice twist we can give it this time, I'm open to ideas.

Even the Old School and Pajama themes had a pimp twist to it, I can do those again as options.

Thoughts?

So far my ideas would include the following:

Pimp and Ho (normal theme)
Pimp and Ho Pajama Party
Old School (only if we did LL Cool J or had some old school talents performing)
White Party (everyone dresses in white)
Black Party (everyone dresses in black)
Fetish Players Ball (be creative)

Ideas?

There isn't a club in Vegas that will work around that. I've had sponsors not get in because they were under 21, and they paid good coin. They knew their odds though.

Old school is like, 70's/retro style (pimp or not), or a warm up suit (old school Addidas or Puma), Kango hat.

Or dress like the old school movie, The Mack.

Or you can go hippy style old school.

We did it around 5 years ago, it was fun. Then again, the Pajama party is cool too, very comfortable walking around in your pajamas or robe. And the chicks wear some incredible night wear which takes that theme over the top.

By the way, I love asking opinions like this on GFY, I always get good feedback. It's tough to make these decisions by myself.

As far as artists go, like I said, the ball is in Ludacris's court. Snoop turned out to be over $150k which took him out of the running this time.

As far as rock options, we have some back up options like CampFreddy.net which would rock, but it's not as realistic as Ludacris.

If Luda doesn't happen, we have other options that are pretty impressive as well.

And if anyone is looking to add a rewards program to their affiliate program or other types of service, The Players Ball is a great incentive to get people promoting your stuff. Passes will be hard to come by, so offering passes to this event as a sponsor is a great idea, we'll custom make a package for you based around your budget. But not too cheap, we've got costs to cover.

I think... if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Go with the oldskool theme (which rocks - everybody dress up as Run DMC come on!), or the Pimp 'n Ho theme (always good!). As far as Luda is concerned, he would fit in both of these themes. I'm sure he'll come thru, after all, it's great promo for him too.

I also like the old school ...i have a retro warm up suit like the ones LLcoolJ used to wear with Mikey Dice Vega on the back ..it would fit nice with a Kango ... this party is going to be fun .. and i think Luda would be hot ..he does a high energy show ... and is current ..i bet we get a lot of top celebs that come just to hang with him .. :thumbsup

My thoughts are Black. We did the Pajama party here in Miami, and while we did have some great PJ's showing up, it only accounted for 10 percent of the party goers.

pajama, girls will wear lingerie and we can dress in comfortable pajamas

Unless the Pajama rule is strictly enforced, it will be a very very small percentage wearing them.

How about cops and looters

Well, judging by the past themed events we've thrown, here's the results.

Pimp & Ho - Probably about 20% to 35% dress up for that

Pajama - Probably around 15% dressed up for that, mostly the girls which was hot.

Old School - Around 10% dressed up.



So here's my thoughts so far. If we do Ludacris, maybe go with a Pimp & Ho Pajama party or regular Pimp and Ho, if it's LL Cool J we should do Old School.

I'll try to enforce the dress code as much as I can to encourage people to dress up. But if we had a Pajama theme I'd like to have someone sponsor the Pajamas and give them to our guests when they pick up the passes in the days prior to the event.

Anyone interested in providing the PJ's? It would be cool to have your URL branded on them with a Players Ball logo or something.

Go with a strict country western theme but the clincher is do not inform the performers about this. Let them hit the stage, look out into the audience and then wonder what the fuck they got themselves into. :winkwink:
