I think your "excellent stuff" also :Graucho ohhhh.. wait you were talking about the articles.. oops :winkwink: |
Very Nice!
Now if I only had the brains to understand PHP :( |
If you redirect a large amount of traffic that way. It would probably slow/bug down the server pretty fast.

I signed up for that on the 15th but got busy...is there another coming or can I still jump in? |
cool!
I have been playing with php also. But I dont have much of a grasp yet. |
This is better done in java...in that way it wont overload your server. Let the computer of the user work for you :-)
Want the Java script? Let me know |
Post the java or email me it to webmaster at 4pics.com
thanks |
isnt java going to be alot slower, as it tends to be the last thing to load on a page.
|
:boid I've been using this system of redirection for a long time now and it doesnt seem to work very well - most users have english installed as default layout no matter where they live.
good old method with .htaccess works better: you deny certain domains (Russia, China) and redirect them to a dialer :) |
Nope...the java is not slower. If you set it right it gets not only the language but also the country settings. This avoid the problem of users with the browser language set to english. With heavy traffic java is better because there is no php running on your server .:Graucho

ok, so anyone going to post this java?
|
I think he means JavaScript and not a Java applet.. At least I hope so..
