Should The Adult Industry Throw A Show In New Orleans?

After of course it has been rebuilt (or at least partially) to help bring dollars into new orleans and stimulate the economy?

I personally think it would be a great idea, these shows we go to bring alot of dollars in for the local economies. The strip clubs alone would bring in hundreds of thousands from us LOL!

What do you guys think, seriously? Should someone throw a show in New Orleans and if they did would you like to attend?

D-Money and I were planning a Player's Ball at the State Palace Theater in N.O. earlier this year. I think it would be a great idea. :2 cents:

I dont think so.

I'd go just to see what it looks like ;)

I doubt very much that I would attend a show in NO.

I think they'll be in a state of repairs for quite a long time, quite easily into 2006. For that reason, I don't think a show would be that great in NO to be honest.

In about 2 years it would be ready. It seemed like everyone had a great time at the one back in 2000. Not sure why they never planned a return trip after that.

Faye did one in New Orleans back in hmmm 98 or 99 I think. It was in the summertime when temps were about 100 and humidity 100 too ... it wasn't terribly popular but did ok.

Yeah, a Fall show, Oct. or Nov. would be the best time. Although for the Jan show it might not be too bad. It's hit or miss in Dec - Feb, some days might be in the 70's others might be in the 30's. For the Aug show you can count on it being hot as shit even at night.

Yes and after that I vowed to never set foot in that place ever again.

IIRC, there were actually 2 shows back in 2000 - Cybernet Expo and Internext.

Reading the Directnic blog FEMA is renting out the few available hotel rooms at 3X the rack room rate (your tax dollars at work....) so it probably won't be economically feasible to have a show there for a while.

depends on the weather...

DH,

It is actually an intelligent idea. Sadly, you are on GFY.

I went to the show in NO... It was fun but probably would not want to go back.. There are much better cities then NO.... how about Atlantic City, NJ? or keep it in FL

Don't go in the summertime. That is like going to Toronto in the dead of winter, you know it will be cold.

I don't mind summertime in New Orleans, I had to endure Louisiana during my childhood. Going during cooler times was the times to go.

Problem is, people from the west would go there with the attitude that "I have been to Vegas in the summer.." That doesn't fly there.

Did you just compare Atlantic City to the old New Orleans?

haha....

Brad Mitchell 09-27-2005 09:24 AM

Not to be a prick... but I didn't like New Orleans before the hurricaine... so I'd say no. I went to both shows there in 2000 and there are a lot of other cities I'd rather convene in.

Brad
