I received a phone call this evening from a person claiming to represent CITI Bank. The person said they have not received my CC payment of $50.00 that was due on the 18th of Feb and that if I did not make payment by check via phone they would add a $35.00 late fee to my account.

#1. The monthly payment is not $50.00.

#2. The payment is not due on the 18th.

#3. I made payment 10 days prior to the actual due date.

#4. I have already received the bill for March and it shows that they received the last payment.

#5. What fool would make payment by check via phone (is a check payment even possible via phone)?

Anyhow be on alert, especially you people with a CITI Bank CC.

most of the posts I see suggest most people think it's the same guy, that he contrived the whole dead dad story.
