I am officially done with Firefox.
 

Firefox takes up too much resources and IE has gotten a lot better. Especially with their new anti-spyware...So I uninstalled firefox.

It's been a good run Firefox but you gotta go.

Yep. Working on switching over to Opera. So many bookmarks, live bookmarks and saved passwords that it is a chore but Firefox has pissed me off one too many times.

Going back to IE????? That takes some serious balls. They lost my trust ages ago.

GFY for example takes .. i dont know, i'll guess..hmm like 5 seconds to load & with firfox it was like POOF!!! & it was done like instantly... i love that tabbed browser thing.. makes things so much easier than that fucking cascading that ie does.. as far as bugs & things.. post them in their blogs, they're working on all of it

This is how you fix this "memory leak" problem. (It's not actually a leak, it just doesn't flush the cache it has.)

1)Type about:config into the location bar and press enter
2)Right click any line to bring up a sub-menu
3)Choose "new">"integer"
4)paste this into the dialogue that appears: browser.cache.memory.capacity
5)Next click Okay
6)Specify the amount in kb (about 60000 should do) in the next dialogue that appears
7)Restart Firefox and happy surfing.

you dont even have to do that to set the size of your cache.
do this;
at the top of the page>
Tools>Options>Privacy>Cache>click on cache and you can set the size from there. (type the number in the box)
And don't forget to clear the Cache once in awhile too!

I stopped surfing most of the porn sites a long time ago....I was straight for a whole year UNTIL goodnightsex TGP decides to put some bullshit on their submit page.

So now I ONLY visit porn sites that I know and I only submit to known sites. Fuck those rinky dink operations.

I think I will stick with my firefox.

but, it's not always the most compatible..

and unfortunately, when I submit sites, I'm forced to use IE (cause they all use the IE browser page.. blech...)

Just installed Opera.. Like it so far.

I gave firefox a fair chance but its just too slow and its jams up quite often.
Same for Thunderbird.. memory leaks and issues.. ahh..

By the way, the article about limited Firefox's memory usage is wrong. You should set it to 16000 not 60000.

i'm giving this a try...FF usually takes more than 120mb of ram on my computer :Oh crap

opera - now completely free, nice and fast too.
