Sony Vegas or ...?

I need powerful video editing software and recall everyone raving about Sony Vegas...

So my question is...

Sony Vegas 6.0
Sony Vegas + DVD

or something else entirely?

i have always used premiere, but my buddy tony404 swears by vegas...but then I have another buddy that swears by finalt cut pro

depends on what you are comfortable with...download some trials and figure it out...they are all good, it just depends on what you feel the most comfortable with

premiere has always been what i've used as i'm comfortable with it. I think most of those offer trials so give them all a go and see what you feel more comfortable with. Good luck.

I?ve worked with Premiere and Final Cut Pro, both are great packages. Not sure why, but since I also did work with combustion, I used Final Cut Pro more?

Never used Sony Vegas? so I can?t comment about it.

Thanks for the input -- I guess I will try Vegas and Premiere and see which works better for me. I am looking for something with an easy learning curve, mostly...I have a ton of video to get online quickly.

neither of those have a easy learning curve my man...they are professional editing suites, and if you have never used them, you will spend a day or two getting the basic down

try window movie maker if you want something simple and quick to learn

I appreciate the input and I am looking for a pro tool. I learn very quick "playing with a program" -- I was more referring to not having to read 1,000 pages of text to figure out how to do simple shit in the software.

I can usually "play" with a program and get it. Not these professional suites. I was using Windows Movie Maker in like 10 seconds. I opened the interface to Premiere and got SO lost. Get a book, how to, for dummies, whatever, visual books work great. :2 cents:
