That Meatloaf Song 'I Would Do Anything For Love'.....
 

somebody posted the 50 worst songs of all time here the other day and the Meatloaf ballad 'I Would Do Anything For Love' was on it - i kinda liked Meatloaf's histrionics but since reading that post that song has been stuck in my head. I don't get it - in the song he keeps singing 'I would do anything for love but I won't do THAT' - he never says what THAT is - first thing I thought of is he is saying he would do anything for love except take a cock up the ass - think that was what he was implying - or possibly since he is a fat guy he meant he would do anything for love as long as it doesn't involve skipping a meal.

I guess you weren't around in '93 because when that song came out millions of others asked the same question. That's a great song, and that list should be thrown out. I don't believe that VH-1 made that list either. Show me the proof someone.

I think it's all in the lyrics towards the end of the song.

I have never really given it a thought, I just enjoyed listening to the full 12 minute version of the song whose lyrics is not that much of a problem to remember. LOL
