REVSHARE Programs...Trials or not???

Fort a Revshare program that charges either 34.95 or 29.95 would you want a 3 day trial, or no trials at all.. I hear mixed things.. I hear with a 3 day trial you get all the jackoffs that don't recurr and suck bandwith... and the ones that do sign with no trial recurr longer...

Ok so far NO trails win.....

Kimmykim 02-26-2002 10:23 AM

Why not offer two different tours to your resellers? One with trial, one without, maybe with two different payment amounts. :)

A good partnership program?
Hmm...

- Free content, regular updates
like XX number of new pics every day

- No trials, monthly membership between 18.95$ and 24.95$
Anything else is too much unless its exclusive.
E.g, "Mafia" porn does not count as exclusive. If you shot your own Mafia themed content, then maybe... :1orglaugh

- Not the same old Wyldesites designs
Try something original... like Bangbus or ExploitedTeens.

- Third party stats - Ibill, jettis, etc etc

- For fucks sake, please, no enter consoles or use of your own software to provide stats :( :(

- Give back the webmasters at least some of their exit traffic... e.g, if you have 2 chained exits, give the webmaster the second. Afterall, its a *partnership*. :)

- Email boxes are pretty stupid unless its a persignup program... a partnership program should be a partnership program and not an "increase our bottom line by 2% by using butt ugly email boxes" program. :)

TRIALS ON EXIT POPUPS! works like a charm :)

TheFLY 02-26-2002 06:47 PM

I'm not sure I like the affiliates-get-to-choose deal... if I don't go with trials I worry another site with a lower price will get the sale... ;)

Trails on exit sounds cool though...

I say the hell with trials although many would disagree. Charging a reasonable amount gets more qualified signups that last longer. In playing around with pricing I never noticed that the consumers were price sensitive unless you get out of the 14.95 to 29.95 range. Anyone else have any thoughts?

I have a 29.95 site, with a 2.95 trial as an exit. Sales are roughly equal.

I am thinking my pricing is a little high, I am seriously thinking of moving down to $24.50.

How ars and topbucks rebill guys as $40+ I am not sure.

Trials good, trust me.

Roberto 02-26-2002 07:40 PM

just my :2 cents: from a sponsor-pushing webmaster perspective:
approx 90% of my sales comes first from a trial on exit popup, 25% of them stay to at least 1 month recurring, and very few (the other 10%) sign up on the full monthly membership price first.
BUT...
That's just MY traffic, so -i- would choose to have an exit trial.
a friend of mine using the same sponsor, similar ads and traffic sources gets THE OPPOSITE, most sales to a full membership and very few to the trial.
so i say, offer a trial, give the webmaster the option to include it or not as an exit popup.
free periodically updated content is a big plus :thumbsup
where do i sign up? ;)

I see that, it'd still be nice to hear from more people. I was spending most of today trying to figure out whether to launch a per sign up or partnership program and also deciding whether or not to have trial memberships. I think I'll be settling on some hybrid solution or something that the masses on GFY will tell me sucks. At the end of the day if the sites convert well the affiliate will likely be earning the same X cents per visitor.

I don't care much about doing the same thing that everyone else is, I'll find a way to up the ante somehow. There's at least a dozen different ways to play with the math and the traffic. Certainly what I found most interesting is all the data available on The Statistician - anyone else review that and have comments? any sponsors out there with comments about how the traffic sent versus what was counted in their stats as reflected on The Statistician?

Yeah, I know, Go Fuck Myself.

interesting thread... keep it going!

SNOW 02-26-2002 11:54 PM

I have mixed feelinsg about putting trials on the exits.. To me there either gonna buy or not... This thread needs to stay alive and see what the outcome is.. Labret says keep them and so does kimmy kim and the fly.. I value there opinions and anyone elses.. I'm finalizing my porogram and I wan't it geared to what webmasters want..

Thanks guys...SNOW
