Attention: All design contest starters...
 

One thing I've noticed throughout my stay here (since 2002), is that the large majority of design contests go without much word from the contest starter...

one of the most important things you can do is let everyone know what you think periodically about the entries, particularly earlier on so that the later entries will reflect those specifics.. you will get more targeted entries.

this applies specifically to logo contests.
