I Didn't Know the Eagles Sucked So Bad...

I keep up on football, I usually know whose doing well and what some good picks are, but this year came and went so fast I didn't even realize football season was upon us until opening weekend.

So...I didn't realize Philly sucked so bad this year, I watched the opening kickoff against Oakland, WOW!

Not that I care either way, Go Steelers! :thumbsup

"Hotel California" was a pretty good album.

OzMan 09-25-2005 11:40 AM

So did the other Eagles :winkwink:

Dude http://www.gfy.com/images/icons/stop.gif -- I think shes talking about the football team "Philadelphia Eagles" not the band.

The (b)Eagles will paint the field red with Raider blood in the 2nd half, mark my words.

Don't worry, no matter what happens they won't be as bad as the 1970 Eagle team.

Trust me, no Eagle team will ever again be quite that ugly.

I see they just scored though, now they need to get the ball back and score again :D

pornguy 09-25-2005 12:28 PM

I have not seen a football game in over a year. Not sure that I miss it, but I do like to sit, eat wings and watch a game from time to time.

websiex 09-25-2005 12:30 PM

I didn't need to worry about Philly hosing me. Indy has done that just fine. I had them at 14, CDSmith.

I know not to pick them. They do the opposite of what I pick, and they have done it for 3 years straight.

I picked Cleveland against that point spread. I know enough not to go against the browns, they're one of the teams that has hosed me consistantly over the years when I go against them.

Eagles just need another TD and I'll be in the clear :D

Edit: Eagles just scored>... 20-10

woohoo!

selena 09-25-2005 12:44 PM

So you have teams like that too, huh?

Mine are Indy and Denver. They are both guaranteed to do the opposite of what I pick.

I live in IN, and scowl at every bit of Colts advertising I see.

Indy is winning the superbowl. I live here and make fun of all the fanboys but their defense will own you all.

Well, it would be real nice if they did. Give that part of the state something back for the big ass invesment they just committed to with the new stadium.

I am not, however, placing a bet on them doing it. ;)

StickyGreen 09-25-2005 01:18 PM

tied up bitches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lace 09-25-2005 01:23 PM

phillys got this.

selena 09-25-2005 01:27 PM

Okay, since we've got an fball thread going...

time for Favre to retire? What do you think?

StickyGreen 09-25-2005 01:33 PM

fuck that game, raiders woulda killed 'em if they didnt shoot themselves in the foot all day long with those horrible penalties...

CDSmith 09-25-2005 02:09 PM

Philly --- christ, nice win but thanks for not beating the spread.... assholes.
Their kicking game is what held them back, giving the Raiders good field position all game. Raiders could have capitalized big time off that if not for all their stupid penalties.

Indy --- nice win... and thanks for NOT beating the point spread.... means I win this one even though I picked the Browns :D

Miami vs Carolina --- who would've thunk it? Last year's 0-and-1 million Dolphins are looking a lot stronger this year it seems.

Atlanta Falcons --- looking goooood. They're my team so far this year..... keep it up. :D

Bengals ---- are back in the game this year. I had a brief moment of "head up my ass"-ness in thinking the Bears were serious. After last week, well.... fool me once.....

I picked the Saints. 'nuff said there. Fucking Minnesota though..... they are a sports better's nightmare this year.

For sure. I know he wants to break the 420td record but he doesnt have enough left in the tank.

Agreed. I respect him as a player and as a person. But I think he should have stopped after last season. I hate to see the greats get in that postion.

Akers got hurt on the first kickoff.
He couldn't kick kickoffs a defensive player kicked them and didn't do a good job.
Akers were barely was able to kick the extra points.
They got lucky but as you said if it hadn't been for their kicker being hurt they would have beaten them easily.
Oh yeah and the fumble at the end didn't help the spread :(

Lace 09-25-2005 03:17 PM

Shows you how much Philly sucks...idiot

Downtime 09-25-2005 03:19 PM

hey at least you're not a Bears fan lol, Orton looked horrendous today albeit he's a rookie. 5 intereptions = :(
