Laptop Problem *HELP*

Basically here it is. Sometimes when i hit the power button my lappy turns on but doesnt load and just turns off. Sometimes it loads fine and when im using it it just turns off. Most of the time i hit the power button and the damn thing doesnt even turn on. No it is not a virus but could be a hard drive problem. What do u think? Im so irritated with it that im going to just buy a new one asap. Gonna look tomorrow. But anyone and their thoughts of what it could be would be great.

Its weird. I hit the power button and the green light comes on that it is on but nothing. Sometimes the screen loads(rarely) and rarely windows loads but the majority of the time i hit the power button and the computer doesnt come on. The fan maqkes no noise either. Just rescently started happening

What it sort of sounds like is a similar problem an old gateway laptop of mine had. Went into hibernate, and lost power to it once. After that until I was able to get it out of hibernate, and turn it off, it would randomly shut down on start up, or hang on OS screen. Try removing all power sources, AC and battery, then reboot from AC without battery attached. Maybe need to run a gas calibration on your battery with other trippy problems happening. If you can get to bios screen restore everything to default, if you can get to windows, unload system standby or hibernate depending on your version of windows.

Sounds like it's either a HD, CPU, or MoBo problem (in order of likeliness). Could also be a ram or power supply problem.

If it's a new laptop - you should have it under warrenty? If it's not new, but not really old either - take it in and get it fixed. If it's old just do yourself a favor and get a new one :)
