This doesn't seem like a real victory... the supreme court didn't make a decision -- they just decided not to hear the case... I don't see what the supreme court has to do with local zoning anyway...

BrettJ 02-26-2002 02:39 AM

yeh. I'm curious why they decided not to hear the case. and what was the other case regarding online adult entertainment that they decided not to hear.

heard it myself on the news.. good for VoyeurDorm! Not really an adult industry victory though, considering it wasn't an adult prosecution or anything.. just a zoning law dispute that was given national publicity because it happened to involve an adult company.

They did state one thing which removes local zoning laws from being a problem in the future, in the sense that they said the business was mainly run in cyberspace. You could somewhat view that as a precedant for future cases.

Cheers

The reason the Supreme Court did not hear it was they agreed witht the decsision of the 11th circuit appeals court. And this is a huge victory for any home based internet business not only adult.

We fought long and hard for this victory.
