that is what I thought, and now that I did it, everything has disappeared...i can't access any cpanel admins or anything...what is up with that?

do I have to somehow go in and set everything up again?

it is a new box, so nothing major, just playing around

Jace 09-23-2005 08:42 PM

ok, i can ssh back in now, do I need to do some command to get everything running again? cpanel and all that shit

TheAlien 09-23-2005 09:30 PM

No you dont need....cPanel will start soon.

bringer 09-23-2005 09:31 PM

fetishblog 09-23-2005 09:38 PM

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Word of advice. Don't look at, touch, or go near anything in /sbin ever ever again. =)

Waiting for someone to post "rm -Rf /" ...

Note: do not actually do this

Jace 09-23-2005 10:38 PM

hey, come on you all, you were learning once too

everything restarted fine, but the only thing I can't figure out, is cpanel no longer is accessible from www.mydomain.com/whm ...any ideas why?

adultguus 09-23-2005 10:43 PM

Try to figure out if cpanel actually started and if it didn't, try to start it.

We're just fucking with ya. Seriously though, if you need any help with system administration, hit me up on ICQ 1183251. I've got 10+ years experience w/ Linux/*nix/*BSD system administration.

right now I am trying to figure out in cpanel if I have the nameservers thing set up right, and I can't find one step by step tutorial on it, only bits and pieces here and there

Did you get cpanel to work by /cpanel /whm url?

if not just click cpanel update and it will fix it.

diggz 09-23-2005 11:11 PM

I suggest you don't use this as a production server, unless someone else secures it after you. :thumbsup
