Does anyone REALLY recycle their old batteries?
I usually keep them a few days out of guilt, thinking I'll recycle them, then get sick of looking at them and just bury them in the trash. I'll be dead in 30 years and won't have to deal with it.
Besides, I figure how much energy is consumed for a UPS truck to pick up, say, a small lead-acid battery, put in a cardboard box, drive it/fly it hundreds of miles to a recycler somewhere? |
in belgium we have those nice containers, once it is full you get something in return like a beachball or football of something + there is also a contest where u can win holidays
+ the kids at school also colect them and for every kilogram they have they can pick schoolstuff from a catalogue (like gym stuff, its like 50kg for a trampoline..) |
you are dumb

I dont recycle them... is that bad???
|
I put them all in a box and recycle them once a month as having 2 kids I run through batteries a lot. The place that takes them is beside the supermarket I go to so I figure if it helps a little why not.
|
I usually throw it out of my window hoping to hit somebody's eye
|
Just don't set them on fire. Melting batteries = bad.
