No one will ever set off a nuke in the US

Everyone knows the US has enough nukes to blow up the world up 3x over. If a nuke did go off in say in LA and 1 million people died, the US would retaliate and eliminate not only their enimes but their familes as well. And no group is willing to risk the extinction of their race for their cause.

if something goes off it is going to be a small one..1 kilo tonne or a very dirty bomb that will scatter radioactive dust..all over the place and that area will be off limits to humans for the next 250 years.

Meh.. I grew up in the 80s when we were all gonna get blown up by the russians.. we're all gonna die someday - maybe via a nuclear bomb or maybe I'll die in my sleep.. who knows.. either way, there's no need to stress about it.

Say a (smaller) terrorist group took responsibility for a nuke blowing off in L.A, against which country would the US user it's nukes? If the terrorist group wouldn't be affiliated with any nation in particular, but are a multi-national islamic fundementalists? Nukes are no good, if you don't know who to nuke. true or false?
