legal question

ok so i was in escrow on this property on padre island, which might be ruined in this rita BS.. maybe not but i backed out of the deal anyways.... im assuming im gonna lose my earnest money... but i was told there is something that deals with natural disasters being a loophole and i could get it back...

only 3500, but better than losing the lace to a storm and having to deal with insurance and rebuild etc... soil ruined, flooded etc..

thoughts?

He said he was backing out for that reason on GFY. Isn't that enough? :)

Read the escrow agreement. Look for a "force majeure" clause.

most people ask their real estate agent these questions - not a msg board.
