Johnson/Chavez Fight...Who saw it? Tragic What Happened To Johnson
 

I'm late so don't know if it's been posted but Leavander Johnson died from complications from the fight? I didn't see the fight and am wondering how much of a beating did he take from Chavez? Is Chavez okay? It's so tragic when a young guy falls like that.

That's what the news says. They say he collapsed a day or something after the fight, was put on a respirator but then his heart and kidneys failed and that was that. He was only 35 years old... very sad.

I didn't see the entire fight but I saw sports highlights of the fight.. Very tragic to see him go. RIP :(

I saw George Khalid Jones kill Bee Scotland in the ring a few years ago at lightheavy. It was brutal. Never good to see someone die. Most of the boxing deaths however occur at the lighter weights like bantamweight, featherweight..etc because its usually from accumulation of punches which cause a blood clot in the brain

Oh, that's one sad news for boxing fans here.

Boxing is still a sport, but as a boxer you can't really be 100% assured of your safety on it.
