i really want to believe that story but those people's accounts have some glaring holes.

for instance, the guy at the hotel said he saw them come back with rolex watches,
how did he see rolex watches? did they show them to him on the way to their room?

the woman who said the cops came back and tried to bribe her to keep her trap shut,

how did they know she knew anything? and why would they target her to bribe?
and all they bribed her with was fresh water? I know they need water but if they stole a school bus and drove around all nigt, several nights in a row, looting, certainly thye would have something else to bribe her with, like a sixxer or a 12 pack even.

i'm not buying it, even though the N.O. police is prolly the most corrupt police dept in the country,

I don't know man. There was stuff still in the hotel room they were holed up in, and the manager of the hotel had someone else backing up his story.

somehow cnn has losts its credibility. well that's just me.

Anyone notice the alleged stuff the cops left behind in the hotel room? New pair of high heel shoes and other alien shit? Sure as hell they were not wearing em! :1orglaugh Obvious stuff idiots would loot from stores and dump on second thoughts.

You just shot down your own argument - if they are so corrupt as you say, then doesn't it led credibility to the story, at least that it is plausible?

And the cop spokesperson who claimed the cops going into houses and walking out with TVs, etc. were "just doing their job" was so ridiculous, it made me laugh! He claimed they were recovering stolen property, not looting. Okay, so in a city with 1/3 of the police force gone, a city virtually destroyed, cops are taking the time to investigate stolen property reports?

no i did not, every valid argument style includes perpective from both sides.

moreover, i stated i WANTED to believe the story, in part because i am aware of how corrupt the N.O. police historically have been.

But I am having a difficult time believing those people interviewed and the story did not include any valid proof IMHO.
