What was Houston supposed to do?
 

If a city the size of Houston has to evacuate, there is going to be traffic. It's a hurricane, it isn't supposed to be pleasant.

If more people had taken the voluntary evacuation, it would not have been so bad.

Sometimes these journalist kill me. They act as if Houston should produce some magic road.

This is life in a large city. I can't get 3 miles in two hours in Los Angeles on Friday evening. So I avoid it, or I deal with it; my choice.

Houston's traffic is horrendous without all of this going on anyway.

It took me 2 hours to get out of downtown one time...I believe it's worse than LA's traffic *when I lived there in the 80's and 90's*...and I lived in LA for 5 years.
