Dear FTVGirls,

I have been a loyal affilaite for some time. I was going through my sponsors today and I noticed something odd. My traffic converts really well selling dvd's to some adult dvd sites I am an affilaite of. Which got me to thinking, I send quite a bit of traffic to you guys, and you have a very nice dvd store.

Imagine my surprise when I went to FTVGirls and clicked the DVD store and I have no ref code. Far be it from me to complain about what you do INSIDE your site, but when I send MY traffic to you and you sell them something I feel I should get my fair share. That is part of the affilaite sponsor relationship correct???

1. I simply would like to know Where is my money?
2. Is there a reason you feel it is ok to sell my traffic and not pay what is owed?


And before the flames start, this is a nic that is not associated with my affilaite account, reason being if they will take this money from me, what to stop them from shit canning my account and not paying me whatever else I am owed?

Why are you owed anything? I'm about to start pushing FTV and i don't give a damn if they're selling DVD's - good on them... so long as im getting my share of the signup cash I don't care if they try and make their sites more profitable.. just means more money for more content and more sites which means more signup cash for me.

I'd rather they keep their upsells than shave.. put it that way.

upsells are fine...in a members area. doesn't seem fair that someone comes from my site to ftv and instead of joining decides to buy a dvd of which i get nothing? hmm. if it were pay per sale, maybe then but revshare is supposed to be straight up, a partnership.

FTVCash is a ccbill affiliate program... they can't track sales made to an off site dvd sale. plus you said...it's in the members area. maybe just my opinion but you're expecting quite a bit. they put a helluva lot of effort into updating constantly with quality content...to keep your retention numbers high.

I'd understand if you were losing surfers... but you already got your money... you get your money off the rebills...and they aren't throwing exit pops at your surfers trying to sell them off to another site

FTV sells well for me and retains even better. They have a great product. Few offer such quality. Sure I'd rather make some more coin but I choose to promote them anyway. If you don't like it don't promote them.

I'd only seen the alison angel and lia19 tours which don't have dvd stores on them. You neglected to mention this rather salient point, It just sounded like you were whining about selling DVD's in their member's area and whipping up bs drama.
It looked like two fake nicks kicking a program while they're down - their IP is banned from GFY so no they can't respond.

Amazing how some of you are actually condoning this practice. Either you are guilty of doing it yourselves, or you are just clueless.

If it's PPS, fine, do what you want in the members area. Affiliates only get paid for the initial sale anyway.

Revshare on the other hand is a totally different story. Selling DVD's is taking money out of the member's wallet that could at the most influence how long they remain a member. At the very least the paysite is making money off the referral without giving affiliate credit.

... and in this case they are doing it right on the tour before joining. That's a potentially serious traffic leak that affiliates see no compensation for.

And don't start in with this "let sponsors do this or they'll just shave" type bullshit. If you think you have to put up with this from sponsors to make money, then you aren't promoting the right sponsors. Just a fact.

and for the record I had no Idea they were banned or I wouldn't have bothered. In the end all I want is an answer from them to my two simple questions.

We started out giving dvds away for free on nubiles.net since it opened. I have done it on my program xfusioncash.com back since 2002. Every member gets a free dvd and each month they stay they can have a new one. The main reason was for retention and we were pretty happy when it did increase retention. We never made a lot of money off the dvds but the members liked the free ones, we only charged like 2 dollars for shipping. We did it ourself however we started getting so many membership sales and requests for free dvds we couldnt keep up the demand.

Then a company took over the production for us because we couldnt do it anymore ourselves. As we got more sales to the site we had more dvd requests for free still, but now this new company that did it for us had WAY higher shipping and production costs. So in order for them to keep doing it for us we had to make it buy one get one for free and then we put the link on the tour just recently.

I have no problem paying out on dvds but I have to talk to my programmer and find out how it works. I dont think its possible with ccbill standard revshare, it means we have to drop ccbill as revshare and set up third party billing software to pass the variable along. Thats not an easy change, however we are considering setting something up by the end of the year. I will ask my programmer about doing it with ccbill. I could careless about making money off the dvds, from day 1 it was to do everything possible for the best retention.

You sound pretty pissed off and I can understand your concern however if we did payout on dvds you wouldnt be getting rich overnight, its really not that big of a deal profit wise after the deducting the production, shipping costs and the free ones we still give away.

The original post was ambiguous on where they were selling from if you don't know the FTVgirls tour. It's fairly obvious from my post i was talking member's area, and I still stand by my statement that I don't give a fuck what they sell in their member's area so long as I get my % of signup cash.
I am still going to be sending traffic to alison and lia's tours.

The long and the short of it is this-
They can do whatever the fuck they want.
If you choose to send traffic there, then that's your choice.
Don't like it? Don't send traffic.

At no point did they promise to pay for for DVDs, so what makes you think it's your share?

FTV are a solid program.

If you pisses you so much just dont use there programe. Or maybe you could copy there tour remove the dvd bit and link stright to join page?
Did you try and contact them. Chris looks after the affilates and is normal very easy to get on ICQ.

No shit dude.. I agree with MrVids, how about you sit down and read shit about the program and actually check the sponsors sites out before you toss some traffic their way.

Chris is a good guy and if you contact him I'm sure he might have done something to help you out before this.. if you are lucky he still might.

And to think this could all have been avoided entirely by sending traffic to Homegrown Video where dvd and memberships all get credited and paid for...

For the record...

I am a fan of FTV. I think the photography is awesome, the design gorgeous, and most importantly the girls are just absolutely stunning. (my only criticism though is I do wish they would be more hardcore at times... but hey you can't have everything!)

Sorry I am late on this post. It always seems that "drama" is brought about when I am celebrating a friends birthday and another friends congratulations on a new job. Now for the DVD's

Our DVD store isn't run by us, but by an independent company. We only get a small percentage for the sales, it is mostly a member service to keep members happy -- some really want DVD's. It generates about 0.018% of our total revenue.
