A Friend Of Mine OverDosed Last Night But We Saved Him...
 

Here is the story.

I rented two movies and was watching them and a buddy of mine at my house. He came over to watch them with us. 15 minutes into the movie i looked back and he was passed out on my couch. I told my other friend(there was 3 of us) to wake him up. He tried everything from yelling to slapping him, to picking him up and nothing. He started turning purple and gasping for air. I called 911 and we had to due cpr until the paramedics arrived. So my buddy did the mouth to mouth and i did the chest pumping exercises. He was spitting up and gargling and breathing really weird. At this time he was turning almost black andhe eyes were rolled in the back of his head. The paramedics came and he went into cardiac arrest. They gave him something to reverse the affect and he woke up.

Cops and paramedics said if we did not due cpr, he would of been dead and we saved him. I could not sleep all night after this happened.

I went to the hospital after and found out that he took some xanex mixed with dipping and smoked some opium all on an empty stomach. He did not remember anything when he woke up.

that's a bad mix. who taught him how to use drugs?

Im still awake from last night..I did not get a ton of sleep. To see this stuff in person is unreal. I cant even describe it.

I just cant get the picture out of my head. Him being all purple and his chest just pumping and gasping for air. He was dead at one moment and we got him breathing before the paramedics got their. I never thought cpr class in high school would pay off.

When are people going to learn not to do drugs? Or if you are going to do them not to mix them? Sad. It's a good thing you guys were there to help out. Now that he's alive and well, I would kick his fucking ass!

I've known Davie since we were 10... We've had our marijuana phazes and our drinking phazes. One thing that I can say is that Davie will NOT end up like these people.

We have the same friends and yes, we have a couple that are stuck on drugs. We had a huge talk the other night and the last thing either of us will do is fuck our lives up to escape reality. Reality is too good to distort.

Seeing a dead person slumped over a toilet seat is very enlightening.

After the 4th I decided I will have nothing to do with people like that.

My own Mother strung out on Speed, conducted CPR on her, try seeing that at age 9.

My sister is a heroin addict... I know how that is, bro. I also understand your decision to seperate yourself fropm drug users. I am the same way, but when one of them is a very close friend, it can be hard. Seeing as that close friend was with Davie last night, I'm hoping this was a wake up call for him.

I have 3 close girlfriends, of 15 plus yrs, that "still" smoke dope, like "we" use to do back in the day, I gave that up years ago. Do I still hang with them? Yes! Does it bother me? No, biggie.

Sounds like you have been burnt, by others drug abuse, which is sad..but let's not assume, everyone that hang's out with a drug user, is also into it too.

Thank god, these two guys were able to figure out something was wrong.

I think it is positive to hang out with positive people, but sometimes you just don't, really know...who's into what!

Fuck, thats an experience. If I were him, I wouldn't touch a drug again.

Facts are this. I have friends that refuse to quit after rehab and lessons like this. I have no sympathy for people who do not change after this type of experience. I do not do anything but drink. In my High school days i use to do some pills and smoke weed but that was it. I have lost 3 friends to coke and pills mixed and i will not see it happen again. And no one was about to die in my house.

dipping is "Chewing tobacco". Instead of chewing its called "dipping". He passed out and must of swallowed it.

Thanks lex. Ya i still hang out with some of them but i dont ever touch anything they do. Im so use to seeing it that it does not bother me. No matter what i tell them and preach to them they dont change. Most of them have been to rehab multiple times. It is out of my hands u know.
