Yeah its pretty stupid that this shit affects us at all gas price wise in Canada. We are a net EXPORTER of gasoline. It's just gouging plain and simple. :2 cents:

Live mid-market rates as of 2005.09.22 19:21:28 UTC.
10.00 CAD Canada Dollars = 8.54726 USD United States Dollars
1 CAD = 0.854726 USD 1 USD = 1.16997 CAD

^^^ $3.89USD per gallon < $8.54USD per gallon :1orglaugh

4.72 CAD Canada Dollars = 4.03430 USD United States Dollars

^^^ Right now, we're paying over $4USD per gallon in Vancouver :(

Tanker 09-22-2005 12:30 PM

Are you just a troll who defends Bush all day long? No one even mentioned him. You're seriously pathetic kid, just letting you know.

Oh wait, let me guess, you're not even a Bush supporter, right? You just defend him every chance you get because everyone else is so unfair towards him. :1orglaugh

PlugRush Sascha 09-22-2005 12:35 PM

Stop whining. Just be glad your house isn't getting railed to shit by a hurricane (unless it is...).

Well if you call me a troll and a pethetic kid, I guess it must be so. Even though I'm 31 and you're the one that registered here in July this year.

Please stop with the name calling, you're making me very upset. :1orglaugh

Leave the car at home today
September 22, 2005 - 7:46 am
By: Tamara Slobogean/Claudia Kwan

Today is International Car Free Day. Vancouver joins the 1,500 other cities celebrating the push for more environmental ways to commute. People will walk, jog, skate, cycle, take transit or ride share to Gastown for a day long street festival with music, performances and displays. Water and Carrall Streets will be closed to vehicle traffic from noon to 8pm. News1130 tested the efficiency factor by having one reporter on the road for the morning commute and one making the same trip by SkyTrain. The reporter taking transit won the race.

See the change in gas prices in US$/gal or Cdn$/L in any US State or major Canadian city over the past 1 month to 3 years.

This affects EVERYTHING. Food, fuel, heating, electricity, consumer electronics. our sales

iwantchixx 09-22-2005 01:21 PM

#3 in markham"? Cripes. wonder if this is a trend, more expensive as you go out west.

What's going to piss a LOT of people off in Alberta is this. They have massive amounts of their own fuel oil yet being gouged to shit.

Antonio 09-22-2005 01:38 PM

Saudi envoy tells AP oil should drop $20

Saudi Arabia's foreign minister said Thursday, pointing to limited U.S. refining capacity as a reason for soaring gasoline prices.
...

The Saudis frequently have blamed America's high energy prices on a lack of refineries but have not explained why such a shortage would keep crude prices high if there was oil that couldn't find a refinery.

Asked about that, Saud said, "I wouldn't be surprised if soon you will see the product (gasoline) prices going up and oil prices going down ... because of the lack of refineries."

The fact that I don't spend my time on a message board doesn't make you any less pathetic. Keep defending the most incompetent leader in modern history, don't worry, it makes you look brilliant. :thumbsup

tranza 09-22-2005 05:17 PM

$2.50 a litre???

Where?

qwe 09-22-2005 05:33 PM

Doesn't make me any less pathetic? I own my own company that's doing very well, I'm well travelled and I live in the tropics. I have a very high IQ, I speak more than one language and I like to make fun of the people that blame everything on Bush. Yes, quite the pathetic soul indeed. I wish I could amount to something and have you recognize that accomplishment. It's really what drives me in life now.

You don't even understand that I'm not blindly defending Bush. The fact that you can't grasp that I'm sitting more in the middle making fun of both sides speaks volumes about you. :2 cents:

You keep blaming being a loser on the President of the United States. In three more years it's going to have to be somebody else's fault.

ya, you have it soooooo hard. Lets look at this

1 US Gallon = 3.785412 Litres

1 Liter at $2.50cnd * 3 = $7.50cnd

per gallon we are paying $6.40+USD (+ because of the .785412 litres I didn't calculate)

So, tell me, do you still wish you were paying that?

kaori 09-22-2005 05:46 PM

I was wondering why there were such huge lineups at the gas stations in Montreal as I drove down to upstate NY...
Eitherway, I filled up in NY for $2.89USD/gallon after the sun went down..

Fucksakes 09-22-2005 05:52 PM

I paid .97cent cdn here today, and waited 20 mins in a line up of cars to get gas.
