Attn Google Adwords:

I've had enough of paying 26c per click on 12% CTR competing against 3-4 other people.. thanks for getting rid of 5 cent minimums.. I really like paying 5 times as much as before.. bye bye.

Google's AdWords has many, many issues - I have weekly battles with them and their responses (even by phone!) are purely cut & paste from a manual. They don't divulge anything, their ranking methodology is ridiculous and worse off, they convert!!! So dropping my account is not an option, but I feel your pain - every day.

I'm not advertising a paysite, pills or something even remotely able to cope with 26c minimums... It's essentially free stuff.. theres no way in hell this is worth it... even to launch something... Even 5c minimums pissed me off.. there are just some terms that can't generate that amount.. look at ringtone traffic... you'd need 1c minimums to make any decent profit on it. Bleh.. annoying as hell.

don't worry. the new microsoft ppc technologies will crush google's piece of shit adwords. i just hope they cleanup their engine a bit so more people switch over.

microsofts ppc will let you pick visitors by country, state, city, age, gender, even approximate yearly earnings (judged by profile or IP lookup of town). i watched the video a few months ago and they'll leave googles adwords smoking. i guess its still in beta stages. their current one is not what i am talking about.

i use adwords everyday and i hate the bastards.

All i want is search term prices dictated solely by what the market will bear. One day someone might realise that allowing half cent bids on certain low value/profit keywords *might* be more profitable because the people doing it are then able to make a profit and they don't just have to rely on 100 people a year each doing a week long test at 5c before dumping the ad for being unprofitable to make money on the term... they earn money instead because the advertisers are earning money..
I dunno maybe the admin costs are too high and the testing and profitability reports to unreliable.. it's just with google holding the share they do.. volume should cancel a lot of these problems out.
I know it's old, old old and obvious with a capital "O".. but lumping the same minimum on "online casino" as on "porn" as on "free porn" as on "usher ringtone" as on "free poetry for ramen noodle eating university students" *STILL* shits me and i used goto.com before it was overture lol.

Some of adwords new pricing is so arbitrary.. throwing 10c on another almost identical keyword.. I do hope M$ crush them but I doubt they'll be any better. They'll still have minimums that disregard the profitability of the keyword.. they'll still be annoying..

I have disabled every adwords campaign I have. I consider myself above average as far as working with the system and turning a profit however things have gotten out of hand as of late.

I am waiting this circus out for a bit.

I still use their keyword tool

I'm down to very few campaigns myself and they're marginal at best in terms of ROI.
