Do you send traffic to console free tours?
 

I'm wondering what percentage of webmasters still send traffic to tours with consoles to get the higher payout.

Depends on the program, the payout, the number of consoles, and a couple other things, but I usually take a lower payout for console free primarily because of the source.

i send to both... but i prefer the console free

I still see alot of programs offering high per signup payouts, but those are for the console hell tours.
The standard payout for console free seems to be $25, so I'm just wondering if that's what most people are actually making per sign up these days.

I pay so little attention, I couldn't even tell you.

I guess only 24% of the people reading this board actually have traffic to send to a program.

Well gallery submitters and TGP owners and link list owners....and probably blog owners and review sites who have alot of bookmarkers.

Also google adwords doesn't allow consoles either.

Exit management is damn important. I think five exits does chase bookmarks away. Ever notice your conversions on the first exit. Sometimes those are better than the original sign page. Hate those fucking sponsors that take those profits for themselves. If it is a cross sell, then I'm really pissed. Double pissed if it is a cross sale to a sponsor I push. I do brand support and maybe get a click and set a cookie. Then they pull that crap and get the sale or set another fucking cookie should the surfer go back to that site.

I don't approve galleries on my TGPs where sponsors have exits. Try to avoid exits on all my sites, not always possible. Plus there have been sponsors that have added exits. It takes time to pull those links, but I have.

depends on how i am pushing a site, if i have multiple sites on one page i prefer console free, if it's just one site i will usally take the higher payout

I send my traffic only to pure free-console tours.

We have the option of with or without consoles in our stats.
The payout is the same for both, but of course can increase a little if you choose the console since you can make sales from them.

I find for the most part, it tends to flow along experience lines. Guys that started prior 2000 use consoles and those after tend to prefer none... I realize this is not a hard and fast rule, but find that its fairly accurate...:pimp

A lot of surfers have popup blockers anyway so I'll take the higher payout.

Has anyone did a side by side comparison as far as the ROI of each?

For example 50k hits to a console free tour paying out $25 per sale VS. 50k hits from the same source with consoles at $35 per sale.

Which method earned the most per click?

Obviously the $35 per sale with consoles is going to make you more per click. That's a no brainer.

The question is if you have a steady traffic source of bookmarkers, do you want to send them to console hell and potentially lose them as bookmarkers or have them "click shy" about visiting the sites you promote.
In that case you could make more now but alot less in the long run.

I almost send exclusively to console free but I put my own consoles via frames.
